Trump and his new administration wasted no time getting straight to work on his first day in office.

As reported by the UK’s Daily Mail, Trump—in between his inauguration and post-inauguration celebrations and festivities—took time out in the Oval Office to sign an executive order and a piece of legislation, as two of his Cabinet picks were confirmed by the Senate.

His very first official act was to sign an order confirming retired Marine Gen. James “Mad Dog” Mattis as his secretary of defense, while the second act was signing an executive order to “ease the burden of Obamacare,” which was not defined.

Prior to signing his first documents as president, some changes had already been made to the Oval Office. Former President Obama’s crimson drapes had been replaced by gold curtains, while a bust of former British Prime Minister was returned as well. Upon his taking office, Obama had replaced the bust of Churchill with one of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Later, Trump attended three inaugural balls with first lady Melania Trump and the Trump children before spending his first night at the White House.

The new president’s Obamacare order directs every federal agency that is responsible for implementing and/or enforcing provisions of the Affordable Care Act to grant waivers, deferments, delays and exemptions so as to minimize or eliminate any costs associated with the implementation of the outgoing president’s signature legislation. (RELATED: See what else the new administration does to neuter the bureaucracy at BigGovernment.news)

In addition, the order directs federal agencies to go to any lengths to “provide greater flexibility to States and cooperate with them in implementing healthcare programs.”

Also, the order gives weight to Trump’s often-stated objective of getting rid of geographic boundaries that allowed for state-centric health insurance monopolies, stifling competition and keeping prices artificially high in many cases. The order directs federal bureaucracies to “encourage the development of a free and open market in interstate commerce for the offering of healthcare services and health insurance, with the goal of achieving and preserving maximum options for patients and consumers.”

As Trump.news reported earlier, the new president also plans early action on another major campaign pledge: Beefing up security along the porous U.S.-Mexico border, in advance of building a wall all along the boundary and getting Mexico to pay for it.

One of the steps Trump plans to take is to issue an executive order reversing President Obama’s unconstitutional action that protected people in the country illegally, mostly by preventing them from being deported. According to advocates of enforcing immigration law, as well as those familiar with Trump’s plans, say in place of Obama’s actions, there will likely be raids on workplaces and other tough measures as the president wastes little time in keeping his pledge to the American people. (RELATED: Stay current on the administration’s moves against illegal immigration and other policy issues at Whitehouse.news)

In addition to the confirmation of Mattis, the Senate also gave its ascent to former Marine Gen. John Kelly to be Trump’s secretary of homeland security. Both men were sworn by Vice President Mike Pence.

Prior to Inauguration Day, Trump and his transition team had signaled that the new chief executive would be busy early on. His first full day in office is Monday, and reports said he will visit CIA headquarters in Langley, Va., perhaps in an effort to patch up what has begun as a nasty public dust-up between top-level careerists within the intelligence community whom Trump has accused of trying to delegitimize his presidency.

But on Saturday, Trump and the first lady joined Pence and his wife, along with the Trump children, at the Washington National Cathedral at 10:30 am to take part in the post-inauguration tradition of attending church services there. It marked the second time the first and second families had worshipped together.

Forget words of cooperation, the angry Left plans perpetual opposition to the Trump administration /nationalsecurity/2017-01-21-forget-words-of-cooperation-the-angry-left-plans-perpetual-opposition-to-the-trump-administration /nationalsecurity/2017-01-21-forget-words-of-cooperation-the-angry-left-plans-perpetual-opposition-to-the-trump-administration#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/nationalsecurity/2017-01-21-forget-words-of-cooperation-the-angry-left-plans-perpetual-opposition-to-the-trump-administration Yesterday at noon, Donald J. Trump was inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States and, for a time, there was political peace in the nation’s capital.

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., gave a speech in which he praised the democratic process, the peaceful transition of power and the lawful ascension of Trump and his vice president, Mike Pence—all of which are hallmarks of our American republic.

But don’t expect the harmoniousness to last. In fact, all early indications are that Democrats, led by the angry Left-wing faction of their party, plan nothing but perpetual protests and disruption of the Trump administration, in a continuing effort to de-legitimize the president’s victory.

As reported by The Washington Times, the perpetual protests began after Trump’s Nov. 8 victory, and have carried through Senate confirmation hearings for his Cabinet picks and on Inauguration Day itself, when some 60 House Democrats were the first to insult our new president by failing to show up for the ceremony, all over a fabricated “outrage.” [RELATED: Keep taps on our new president at Trump.news]

“Is the political Left getting ahead of itself in bashing and trashing the Trump White House? Or are Democrats and left-wing groups gearing up for perpetual protest—a never-ending onslaught of dissent and criticism aimed at delegitimizing the Trump presidency, discrediting the Trump administration and demonizing all things Trump?” the Times noted.

Trump’s closest advisor, Kellyanne Conway, believes it’s the latter.

“The professional political left is attempting to foment a permanent opposition that is corrosive to our constitutional democracy,” Conway told The New York Times last month. “The left is trying to delegitimize his election. … They’re trying to deny him what he just earned.”

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a Trump confidante, agrees with Conway that the angry Left isn’t going away.

“You’re going to have a permanent opposition, sort of a combination of the news media and the Elizabeth Warren hard left, and they’re going to attack every single day and they’re going to find something to attack all the time,” Gingrich said in recent days on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” the Times reported. “And Trump’s got to get used to the idea. ‘That’s okay, that’s just noise.’”

While few expect supporters of twice-vanquished Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton to be happy about the election results, the formation of political war rooms, the ongoing opposition strategy sessions, protests and media hysteria are really unprecedented—because the angry Left justifies its hypocrisy in any number of ways.

“This is dramatically different from what we’ve seen,” conservative author David Horowitz, a former Left-wing hack and current chronicler of left-wing movements, told the Times.

“A democracy only works if the factions, the divisions are done peacefully and resolved peacefully, and compromises are made,” Horowitz—author of the 2012 book “The New Leviathan: How the Left-Wing Money Machine Shapes American Politics,” said.

He added that there’s a sort of “honeymoon” after the election whereby the losing party nevertheless defends the legitimacy of the results. “That’s why we’ve had peace since the Civil War in this country,” he said.

But the angry Left is seeking to change that dynamic now, their hatred of Trump is so deep.

And mind you, all this angst is completely irrational; the man hasn’t been in office ever before so claiming to know what kind of government he’ll lead is absurd.

Even some state governments are gearing up to oppose the Trump administration, at least legally and legislatively (for now). The Democrat-controlled California legislature recently hired former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder, a one-time radical Left lawyer who defended Gitmo terrorists—to oppose Trump, a completely unprecedented move.

And New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has said publicly that his state will be a refuge for minorities who feel they are under attack by a Trump administration—even though Trump, during his inaugural speech, spoke to all Americans and has been falsely labeled a racist by the ‘mainstream media’ because he wants to deport illegal aliens.

Democrats have also said that Republicans did not make it easy for President Obama when he took office, but political opposition parties are not expected to agree with the other side. Plus, Republicans have never tried to upend Electoral College results by urging electors to defect, or called for his impeachment before he even entered office, or organized scores of protests to coincide with his inauguration.

But one thing is certain: If the angry Left, through the Democrat Party, continues to carp daily at everything the Trump administration does, only its most sycophantic supporters will be around in subsequent elections to vote for its candidates. Everyone else will abandon the party, viewing it as unserious and unhinged.

Mainstream media now worse than PRAVDA… indy media leaders call on President Trump to classify CNN, WashPost and NYT as ‘subversive propaganda’ /nationalsecurity/2017-01-20-mainstream-media-now-worse-than-pravda-indy-media-leaders-call-on-president-trump-to-classify-cnn-washpost-and-nyt-as-subversive-propaganda /nationalsecurity/2017-01-20-mainstream-media-now-worse-than-pravda-indy-media-leaders-call-on-president-trump-to-classify-cnn-washpost-and-nyt-as-subversive-propaganda#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/nationalsecurity/2017-01-20-mainstream-media-now-worse-than-pravda-indy-media-leaders-call-on-president-trump-to-classify-cnn-washpost-and-nyt-as-subversive-propaganda When Left-wing extremist Democrats are in power, they often change longstanding rules just so they can get their way.

One of the most recent examples proving this was when then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid invoked the so-called “nuclear option” in 2010 so the Democrat Senate majority could bypass the longstanding 60-vote threshold and usher in Obamacare. The same technique was employed by Reid afterward to help Obama appoint radically Leftist judges to the federal bench.

That’s how Leftists operate. If they win elections, they call it ‘the will of the people.’ They use the Constitution when it suits them, and the federal courts when they don’t get their way. When you hear of “obstructionism” in Washington, D.C., the most prolific and skilled practitioners are Democrats and their Left-wing allies in the bureaucracy.

But they have had help along the way from Republicans, too, and indeed, the congressional GOP majority just gave authoritarian Leftists a huge boost by passing legislation that essentially constructs a “Ministry of Truth” in a country where one of its founding principles is freedom of the press.

A ‘Ministry of Truth’ in the U.S.?

As noted by All News Pipeline, the measure, which was signed by President Obama as part of the most recent National Defense Authorization Act, is the “Countering Information Warfare Act of 2016,” or S. 2692.

Indeed, Obama may have just handed the next president and all future presidents the power to censor and even destroy the mainstream media.

As reported by Zero Hedge, the site noted in June 2016 that the bill to create a de facto Ministry of Truth was quietly introduced. As with other controversial legislation Congress would rather keep from the public, the then-named bill, “Countering Foreign Propaganda and Disinformation Act of 2016,” was just the latest attempt by the governing elite to curtail press freedoms—that is, the press the establishment of both major parties disagrees with most.

Introduced in mid-summer by Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., and Ted Lieu, D-Calif., H.R. 5181 sought to create a “whole-government approach without the bureaucratic restrictions” to allow the government to counter “foreign disinformation and manipulation,” which the two lawmakers said they believed threaten the world’s “security and stability.” As if no great nation’s intelligence services have ever engaged in propaganda before. It’s only a staple of intelligence an counterintelligence operations.

Nevertheless, a similar bill was introduced in the Senate (see above) by Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, which essentially represents a return to Cold War-era government-led propaganda engagements. (RELATED: See more examples of left-wing fake news propaganda at Propaganda.news)

“These countries spend vast sums of money on advanced broadcast and digital media capabilities targeted campaigns, funding of foreign political movements, and other efforts to advance key audiences and populations,” Portman said, noting that while the U.S. government spends a modest amount on Voice of America, the Russian government provides substantially more funding to Russia Today, or RT.

Where did this effort come from? What sparked it?

A narrative months in the making

Months before the phony “fake news” narrative began, compliments of a disgruntled, defeated, and thoroughly compromised Democratic Party—with its willing accomplices in the discredited ‘mainstream media’–H.R. 5181 would task the secretary of state with coordinating with the secretary of defense, the director of national intelligence and the Broadcasting Board of Governors to “establish a Center for Information Analysis and Response”—responsible for identifying what they believe is disinformation, then analyze data and, in dystopian fashion, then develop and disseminate “fact-based narratives” that are created to counter the offending propaganda.

And where would these fake counter-narratives be published? You guessed it: The same lamestream media that discredited itself over the course of the latest presidential campaign cycle.

As Zero Hedge noted:

In short, long before “fake news” became a major media topic, the US government was already planning its legally-backed crackdown on anything it would eventually label “fake news.”

“There’s no question that CNN, WashPost and the NYT are all working against the interests of America and the Constitution,” said Natural News founder/editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger.

“The NYT is owned by a foreign socialist. The Washington Post is owned by a left-wing globalist, and CNN is a puppet propaganda mouthpiece for George Soros,” he continued. “These left-wing propaganda rags are deliberately harming America and seeking to bring down the Trump administration by any means possible, including fabricating false accusations and publishing deliberate faked news stories to push their propaganda. They are subversive and a clear and present danger to our democracy.”

And now, it seems, fake government narratives will become official.

Closing the gate: Trump plans early action to seal U.S. southwest border left virtually open by Obama /nationalsecurity/2017-01-20-closing-the-gate-trump-plans-early-action-to-seal-u-s-southwest-border-left-virtually-open-by-obama /nationalsecurity/2017-01-20-closing-the-gate-trump-plans-early-action-to-seal-u-s-southwest-border-left-virtually-open-by-obama#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/nationalsecurity/2017-01-20-closing-the-gate-trump-plans-early-action-to-seal-u-s-southwest-border-left-virtually-open-by-obama Sources close to the Trump transition team say one of the first things the new president will do is move to fulfill a campaign pledge to dramatically bolster security along the U.S./Mexico border, as many are waiting in anticipation of the “big, beautiful wall” he has promised to build.

As reported by the Los Angeles Times, aides to President Trump are currently clearing the way so he can take his first steps towards making the immigration system legal again, “fulfilling a major campaign pledge” while ticking off open-borders advocates in both major parties.

[RELATED: Stay current on the administration’s moves against illegal immigration and other policy issues at Whitehouse.news]

The Times noted that, in addition to high-profile raids, the president also plans to expand the pool of people to be deported, focusing primarily on anyone in the country illegally who has a criminal conviction, while also moving to cut the number of refugees entering the country.

As a security measure, the 45th president could also keep a promise made during his campaign to stop immigrants and refugees coming into the U.S. “from any nation that has been compromised by terrorism.”

“We need to get control of our borders and we need to get control of our immigration system, and we can do it in a very smart and methodical way that ensures that the first priority is first and foremost people who seek to cause us harm or who are a danger in a community,” said newly minted White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

There are more changes coming and are expected to be rolled out more slowly, the Times said. Still, those measures are also expected to have broad effects. Some who have committed even minor crimes are also expected to be sent back to their native countries, along with some 800,000 people who have been ordered out but stayed anyway.

Plans also call for having more federal immigration agents sent to local jails to search for border violators, an increase in the prosecution of immigration violations, and allowing fewer people to become eligible to request protection inside the U.S. over the definition of what constitutes a “credible fear” if they are returned to their home countries.

As the Times noted further:

Taken together, the actions would result in a significant shift in how immigration law is enforced, which could itself create a ripple effect that alters the immigration pool and how the 11 million or so in the U.S. illegally live their lives. Unlike some of his other big-ticket plans, such as replacing Obamacare, Trump can act on immigration without Congress under the president’s wide legal authority to control borders.

For most Americans—especially those living in border states who have had to endure eight long years of lax immigration enforcement—these moves could not come soon enough. Yet, concern over what Trump will do has sparked one final mad dash for the border. [RELATED: How has mass immigration affected U.S. cities? Stay current at Collapse.news]

As noted by Agence France Presse, thousands are racing to get across:

Migrants trying to sneak into the United States from the parched Mexican desert have to contend with border guards’ drones overhead, poisonous snakes underfoot and human trafficking gangs at their backs.

But these challenges are nothing compared to their bigger fear: that someday soon, US President-elect Donald Trump will build a wall to keep them out altogether.

Trump began his campaign with a pledge to tighten immigration laws and build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, and make Mexico pay for that wall in some manner. An electoral majority of Americans heartily agreed with him, and not the globalist/establishment cabal in Washington on the issue.

Clinton friend who gave $20k to the DNC was just arrested for threatening to kill Trump at the inauguration /nationalsecurity/2017-01-20-clinton-friend-who-gave-20k-to-the-dnc-was-just-arrested-for-threatening-to-kill-trump-at-the-inauguration /nationalsecurity/2017-01-20-clinton-friend-who-gave-20k-to-the-dnc-was-just-arrested-for-threatening-to-kill-trump-at-the-inauguration#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/nationalsecurity/2017-01-20-clinton-friend-who-gave-20k-to-the-dnc-was-just-arrested-for-threatening-to-kill-trump-at-the-inauguration There have been quiet rumblings of the potential of an assassination attempt on President Donald Trump since he started picking up steam in the presidential primaries. While most of this appeared to just be poor humor, speculation and the ramblings of radical lunatics, with Trump’s inauguration quickly approaching, it is time for the authorities to start taking these kinds of threats a lot more seriously.

The most recent example of this has been the case of Dominic Puopolo, a reportedly homeless man whose family has close ties with the Clintons. 51-year-old Puopolo posted a video on Twitter where he threatened to murder the president-elect. He was apprehended shortly thereafter when police officers found him at a Subway restaurant in Miami, Florida. Despite the fact that many in the mainstream media claim that Puopolo is just some mentally deranged lunatic, that doesn’t appear to be the case — at least not in the traditional sense.

Gabriel Samuels of The Independent reports, “Mr. Puopolo appeared in court in Miami following his arrest, and his defence lawyer recommended he be given a full psychological evaluation to determine his mental state. He was charged with threatening to harm a public servant and awaits trial. His bail was set at $1 million, once medical professionals deemed his was stable enough to be released.”

So this man is sane enough to be walking around freely among the rest of us, but he also believes that it is acceptable to threaten to assassinate the future president of the United States. There is no reason at all for this to be the case, and one can only imagine how different the reaction would be if it were someone threatening to kill Barack Obama. Nobody should get off scot-free if they threaten to kill a high-ranking political figure — or anyone, for that matter — it shouldn’t matter who it is.

This sets a dangerous precedent all around. It poses the idea that people can be sane enough to avoid being placed in a mental facility, but not sane enough to know between right and wrong. If someone doesn’t comprehend the dangers of threatening the president of the United States, how is it a good idea for them to be walking among us? This is truly leftist logic in every sense.

While Puopolo should be punished like anyone else, the fact that his family has such close ties to the Clintons is a major red flag as well. This news does nothing but inspire those who bought into the Pizzagate story to back up their claims of deep-seeded political corruption leading all the way to the White House. If the Regressive Left wants to change its reputation, they need to start holding the madmen on their side responsible for their actions.

Every member of the Democratic Party should be doing everything they possibly can to denounce Puopolo and his motives instead of trying to ignore this story altogether. Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election proves that the United States is prepared for change and that it is time for all of us to join forces and fight for the greater good. A lot of that starts with pointing out political corruption and exposing things for how they really are. These are not partisan issues and should not be treated as such. It’s time for both liberals and conservatives to come together and start acting like civilized human beings again.

If we really want to avoid a full-scale societal collapse, this is the only way. It is time for us to get to work and change the direction of our country. Now more than ever, we need more sanity and less absurdity. (RELATED: Follow more developments of the new Trump administration at Whitehouse.news)

Treasonous? Fake news outlet CNN appears to encourage Trump assassination to point out that an Obama ‘Cabinet member’ would take over as president /nationalsecurity/2017-01-19-treasonous-fake-news-outlet-cnn-appears-to-encourage-trump-assassination-to-point-out-that-an-obama-cabinet-member-would-take-over-as-president /nationalsecurity/2017-01-19-treasonous-fake-news-outlet-cnn-appears-to-encourage-trump-assassination-to-point-out-that-an-obama-cabinet-member-would-take-over-as-president#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/nationalsecurity/2017-01-19-treasonous-fake-news-outlet-cnn-appears-to-encourage-trump-assassination-to-point-out-that-an-obama-cabinet-member-would-take-over-as-president The far Left has become so unhinged in the wake of President-elect Donald J. Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton in November that its behavior is bordering on the criminal.

And treason.

Discredited fake news outlet CNN is being heavily criticized for a report that seems to suggest there could be an assassination of the president-elect in the offing, and should that happen, an Obama Cabinet pick would be waiting in the wings to take over.

As reported by Infowars, the story, headlined, “Disaster could put Obama cabinet member in the Oval Office,” says there is no specific threat that is targeting the inauguration, but then goes on to fantasize about “who would be in charge if an attack hit the incoming president…just as the transfer of power is underway.”

You can almost feel the dripping resentment for Trump and the hope that something bad would happen to him just so an Obama sycophant could seize the reins of power (and ‘save the country from the disaster of Trump,’ of course).

CNN said that an individual named the “designated presidential successor” will not be at the inauguration as a security precaution, “but it won’t be a Trump cabinet secretary…it will be an Obama appointee.”

The ‘report’ goes on to emphasize that “a president from the prior administration” would then take power if there is an attack because none of Trump’s Cabinet picks have been confirmed yet by the Senate.

According to the fake news network, the designated presidential successor would probably be Tom Shannon, the Under Secretary for Political Affairs and an Obama appointee (thanks for publishing his identity, CNN—good thing you were around to blow the lid off that D-Day invasion during World War II).

CNN teases the potential attack scenario on the inauguration by noting it would create “chaos” and “high theater,” then aired clips from ABC’s weekly series “Designated Survivor,” starring Kiefer Sutherland who plays an obscure Cabinet secretary who is “unexpectedly thrust into the presidency after an attack at the Capitol during a State of the Union Address.”

There have already been a number of death threats against the soon-to-be President Trump, including a family friend of Hillary Clinton, who was arrested after he threatened to assassinate Trump at his inauguration. And, there have also been numerous reports of protests, unrest and property damage being planned for Inauguration Day, which in and of itself could create enough mayhem to threaten the president-elect and members of Congress in attendance. [RELATED: Stay current with potential threats to the civil society at Bugout.news]

We already know that CNN has regularly committed journalistic fraud; has the network crossed another line by drawing attention to this very dangerous scenario? After all, what is even the point of speculating something like this? For CNN’s warped Left-wing ideologues, this is nothing more than wishful thinking disguised as a ‘news story.’

Respondents on YouTube, which were very heavily thumbed down, blasted the network for what could be taken as encouraging an attack on Trump.

“Totally not suggesting anything her, huh CNN?” one person commented, as Infowars reported.

“So leftist terrorists know who they need to take out, so that dems can stay in power? This is irresponsible journalism,” wrote another.

“I flagged this video as dangerous to the president elect, and that it might foment violence,” another poster noted.

This is not unprecedented for CNN, by the way, which has demonstrated amazing bias against Trump from the outset. This is the same network of losers who gave Thomas DiMassio a platform after he rushed a state to violently confront Trump during a campaign event in Ohio last year. [RELATED: Keep current with the new administration at WhiteHouse.news]

DiMassio’s intent? Use violence to “send a message to all people out in the country who wouldn’t consider themselves racist, who wouldn’t consider themselves approving of what type of violence Donald Trump is allowing in his rallies.”

Imagine if Fox News had run this kind of a story on the eve of President-elect Barack Obama’s first inauguration in 2008; the Left-wing establishment media would have exploded with anger. But that’s the point: It’s okay for the journo-terrorists on the Left to publish this kind of garbage and pretend its “news.”

If you’re not boycotting CNN, you’re just encouraging more of this kind of outrageous behavior.

About 10 minutes after Barack Obama was elected president in 2008, the Nobel Prize committee began trying to figure out a way to award him with a Nobel Peace Prize for…something.

Oh, yes…peace! So, what did Obama do those first few months in office to win what used to not be a politically motivated award? Why, he ushered in a “new era of diplomacy” with his call for nuclear non-proliferation and his zest for the Muslim world.

Even The New York Times, as reported in October 2009, expressed a bit of puzzlement as to why Obama would win a prize like that after accomplishing nothing and only being in office less than a year:

Normally the prize has been presented, even controversially, for accomplishment. This prize, to a 48-year-old freshman president, for “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,” seemed a kind of prayer and encouragement by the Nobel committee for future endeavor and more consensual American leadership.

The fact is, Obama didn’t really deserve the prize then, and he wouldn’t deserve it now, based on a new analysis by the Council on Foreign Relations’ Micah Zenko, the United States dropped 26,171 bombs on seven countries in 2016: 12,192 in Syria, 12,095 in Iraq, 1,337 in Afghanistan, 496 in Libya, 34 in Yemen, 14 in Somalia and 3 in Pakistan.

While certainly not all of those countries are sovereign, intact nations with functioning governments that are in control of most of their territory, some of them are (Pakistan, especially, comes to mind)—but did you ever hear the Congress declare war on those countries? (RELATED: Read more news about the stupidity of big government at Stupid.news)

What’s also notable is that Zenko’s figures were lower in 2015, according to AntiMedia, which reported he estimated the U.S. dropped 23,144 bombs that year.

The difference “marks a sharp increase in Obama’s trigger happiness when it comes to the use of advanced weaponry, though the targets of the bombs remained the same: the vast majority of his 2015 bombs (22,100) were dropped in Iraq and Syria in 2015,” the site reported.

Zenko notes that as Obama’s final term winds down, experts will begin to assess many aspects of his presidency, including his foreign policy and whether or not it was effective (the Nobel Prize committee certainly believed it would be in 2009). Throughout his two terms he vowed to close the military detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, even if it meant setting dangerous terrorists free so they could go back to their homes and plan more attacks; essentially encouraging and promoting bloody, violent revolution in countries like Syria, Libya and Yemen under the guise of the “Arab Spring”; treating the lone true U.S. ally in the Middle East—Israel—like a second-class citizen; allowing Chinese aggression to expand in the South China Sea, one of the world’s busiest and most profitable waterways; and bungled a “reset” with Russia, while now heaping criticism on the incoming Trump administration for trying to patch things up with Moscow, among other failures.

Obama essentially acted as though 1) the problems in the world were primarily the fault of the United States, so; 2) he put people in charge of his diplomacy (Hillary Clinton, then John Kerry as secretaries of state) who agreed with his indictment of our country:

— Clinton was more interested in padding the accounts of the Clinton Foundation by selling access to a former first family world leaders thought would once again be in the White House after Nov. 8, as documented in a special, pre-election report from NewsTarget called, “The Hillary Files”;

— Kerry has a long political history of trashing (and lying about) his own country, dating back to the bogus “Winter Soldier” investigation and testimony before the Senate in the waning years of the Vietnam War.

Then there is the presumption that Obama was also much more interested in ‘fundamentally transforming’ the country away from its constitutional roots and traditional values into some Left-wing disaster like Venezuela on steroids. (See more news about anti-American traitors at Treason.news)

But through it all, no matter what his Nobel Prize was supposed to have been awarded for, peace wasn’t something Obama embraced fully throughout his presidential tenure, as the evidence proves.

The truth about Trump: CIA completely discredited after caught peddling BuzzFeed false smears as facts /nationalsecurity/2017-01-16-the-truth-about-trump-cia-completely-discredited-after-caught-peddling-buzzfeed-fan-fiction-as-fact /nationalsecurity/2017-01-16-the-truth-about-trump-cia-completely-discredited-after-caught-peddling-buzzfeed-fan-fiction-as-fact#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/nationalsecurity/2017-01-16-the-truth-about-trump-cia-completely-discredited-after-caught-peddling-buzzfeed-fan-fiction-as-fact If you truly wanted to know why President-elect Donald J. Trump does not trust the intelligence community he is about to lead, this should clear it up for you.

Last week, CNN’s formerly respected journalist-host, Jake Tapper, reported on an unsubstantiated 35-page “dossier” containing vile, disgusting charges against Trump, as well as reams of data that the news network could not, and did not, verify.

Shortly after CNN’s story was released, BuzzFeed published the entire 35-page document – again, despite the fact that not a single thing in it was verified, confirmed or substantiated in any way (we aren’t going to send clicks their way, so if you want to read the original report, you’re going to have to search for it).

As bad as this is, the unverified report, which also claimed that Russia definitely “hacked the election” in favor of Trump and has been working on his behalf for years, was also picked up as legitimate by careerist bureaucrats inside the U.S. intelligence community.

As reported by The Daily Beast, longtime Republican operative Rick Wilson – one of those diehard #nevertrump types who refuse to accept reality – shopped the invented allegations to the CIA.

He had help. No less than Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., another #nevertrump oaf who has become a poster child for congressional term limits, admitted that he passed the document and all its phony allegations to the FBI.

One of the worst claims made in the document – that Trump hired Russian hookers to perform a “golden shower” (urinating) on a bed that President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama slept on during a visit to Russia, was completely fabricated, as Zero Hedge noted.

Mind you, the CIA and the FBI both bit on this garbage, according to reports from some of the players involved in creating the false report in the first place (RELATED: Keep up with the latest on fake news at NewsFakes.com). In fact, Zero Hedge says, citing the source, that the CIA even put the phony “data” into its classified intelligence report on how Russia “hacked” the election.

And you want to know why President-elect Trump is suspicious of anything the U.S. Intelligence Community bureaucrats and careerists are saying? This spells it out about as plainly as it can get.

Not all outlets bit on this. In fact, most didn’t, to their credit – a fact not lost on the president-elect.

“I must say that I want to thank a lot of the news organizations here today because they looked at that nonsense that was released by … who knows … maybe the intelligence agencies, which would be a tremendous blot on their record if they in fact did that. … [A] thing like that should never have been written … should certainly never [have] been released,” he said during his press conference Wednesday.

“I want to thank a lot of the news organizations … [T]hey came out so strongly against that fake news and the fact that it was written about by primarily one group [BuzzFeed] and one television station [CNN]. I just want to compliment many of the people in the room … there were some news organizations with all that was just said that were so professional – that I’ve just gone up a notch as to what I think of you.”

The Left-wing hack media has no shame, no conscience and no credibility whatsoever at this point, as is so demonstrably obvious. Anyone who believes otherwise is just not being serious. (RELATED: Find more news about left-wing media propaganda at Propaganda.news)

Obama leaving as many political landmines as possible throughout the U.S. and world to trip up Trump administration /nationalsecurity/2017-01-10-obama-leaving-as-many-political-landmines-as-possible-throughout-the-u-s-and-world-to-trip-up-trump-administration /nationalsecurity/2017-01-10-obama-leaving-as-many-political-landmines-as-possible-throughout-the-u-s-and-world-to-trip-up-trump-administration#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/nationalsecurity/2017-01-10-obama-leaving-as-many-political-landmines-as-possible-throughout-the-u-s-and-world-to-trip-up-trump-administration Publicly, President-elect Donald J. Trump has said his interactions with President Obama have been cordial and courteous. But it has become evident that the outgoing president, petulant and arrogant as always, is going out of his way to leave as many landmines as possible for the incoming administration, politically and geopolitically speaking.

Geopolitical bomb-throwing

In recent days, the Obama State Department—led by the hapless and one-time presidential loser John Kerry—once again put Israel at risk by abstaining from a vote at the United Nations Security Council condemning the Jewish state’s inherent right to expand settlements in its own territory. Rather than use its veto power, Obama directed Kerry to cast no vote at all, allowing the measure to sail on to a 14-0 approval. It was the first time the U.S. government has ever allowed a vote to occur condemning our key (and really only true) ally in the Middle East.

As if that weren’t enough, Kerry then delivered a speech in which he actually said Israel has a choice: It can either be democratic (as defined by the Obama administration, not by the Israeli people) or it can be Jewish, but not both. That’s like Israel saying the U.S. cannot be democratic and Christian at the same time, which is, of course, preposterous.

That’s not all.

You’ve no doubt heard the narrative that “Russia hacked the election” to favor Trump. Months before his stunning upset of two-time presidential loser Hillary Clinton, the Obama administration began creating the narrative that Russian operatives were attempting to hack into U.S. election systems. As Cyberwar.news reported:

The FBI described the threat as “credible” as well as significant, “an eight on a scale of one to 10,” according to Matt Roberts, a spokesman for Arizona Secretary of State Michele Reagan (R), said last week. As a result of the hack, Reagan ordered the state’s voter registration system shut down for nearly a week.

The Obama administration even offered to help states protect their systems, but states declined the offer, perhaps because they didn’t believe the threat existed. Ironically, one of the declining states was Georgia, whose secretary of state claimed after the Nov. 8 election that state systems were electronically tampered with…by computers whose addresses led back to the Department of Homeland Security, reported Glitch.news.

So the die was cast well before the Obama White House—aided, as usual, by the ‘mainstream’ media—began spreading its phony Russia story, likely to further discredit Trump and de-legitimize his victory. Worse, Obama has now sanctioned Russia for its non-existent ‘interference,’ leaving the Trump White House to deal with a major world power right off the bat.

Domestically, Obama is also causing havoc

In addition to leaving problems for Trump to fix around the world, Obama is also filling his remaining days in office setting domestic political traps for the Trump administration. Consider:

— The administration is rushing to import and resettle as many refugees as possible from war-torn regions of the Middle East—areas rife with terrorist organizations. As The Daily Caller reports, the administration is “resettling significantly more refugees” in the final weeks of 2016 than the previous year, regardless of what states think or say. The goal, of course, is to put Trump on the hot seat when he attempts to make good on his promise to “ban Muslim immigration” until such time as the U.S. government can adequately vet potential new arrivals from parts of the world whose people are culturally at odds with Western democratic principles.

— In recent days, Obama huddled on Capitol Hill with congressional Democrats in an attempt to develop a strategy to block repeal of Obamacare. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced in December Senate Republicans’ first goal was to repeal the law that has put such a massive financial burden on tens of millions of Americans in the form of higher monthly premiums, higher deductibles and less access to affordable care.

— Obama issued an executive order declaring a massive swath of Utah and Nevada as two new federal reserves, thereby preventing those lands from being mined for natural resources. He also signed an order banning oil exploration in parts of the Artic and Atlantic Oceans.

— He granted clemency to hundreds of dangerous criminals, including drug dealers who targeted kids.

The outgoing president has also made clear he plans to stay in Washington, D.C.—ostensibly to allow his youngest daughter to finish high school (highly irregular, considering all other ex-presidents in recent memory left the nation’s capital far behind as soon as their terms expired). But what he will also do is carp at and snipe the Trump administration every chance he gets, especially when Trump and his team begin to dismantle much of the damage Obama “legacy.”

Navy destroyer fires warning shots at Iranian vessels in Strait of Hormuz /nationalsecurity/2017-01-10-navy-destroyer-fires-warning-shots-at-iranian-vessels-in-strait-of-hormuz /nationalsecurity/2017-01-10-navy-destroyer-fires-warning-shots-at-iranian-vessels-in-strait-of-hormuz#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/nationalsecurity/2017-01-10-navy-destroyer-fires-warning-shots-at-iranian-vessels-in-strait-of-hormuz In the latest incident of high-seas tension between the U.S. and Iran, a Navy guided-missile destroyer fired a series of warning shots at four Iranian vessels after the Islamic Republic’s boats closed in at a high rate of speed in the Strait of Hormuz, Fox News confirmed on Monday.

Article by FoxNews.com

The USS Mahan tried to order the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard boats to stop via bridge-to-bridge radio communication, but the vessels didn’t respond to the request, prompting the destroyer to fire three warning shots with a .50 caliber machine gun Sunday morning, a U.S. defense official said. After the shots were fired, the Iranian boats stopped the approach, Cmdr. Bill Urban, spokesman for U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, told Fox News.

The Iranian vessels sailed within 890 yards of the Mahan, which had been escorting two U.S. Navy warships. Those two ships were the USS Makin Island, a large deck amphibious assault ship with 1,000 U.S. Marines, dozens of helicopters and Marine Harrier jets aboard, and a U.S. Navy oiler.

In addition to the machine gun warning shots, a Navy helicopter dropped a smoke float. The only communication between the Iranian vessels and the U.S. warships was one Iranian boat asking for the “hull number” of the U.S. Navy vessels.

In recent days Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps has conducted an annual exercise in the strait simulating maneuvers necessary to shut down the entrance to the Persian Gulf via “swarm” tactics — deploying a large number of small armed vessels. The simulations are “ongoing,” a U.S. defense official tells Fox News.

Sunday’s incident was only the most recent Iranian provocation of U.S. ships or aircraft in the region. Among the notable incidents:

– In late November, an Iranian small boat in the Strait of Hormuz trained a machine gun on a U.S. Navy helicopter.

– U.S. warships have been targeted by rebels in Yemen who are being supplied and supported by Iran.

– In September, Iran threatened to shoot down Navy aircraft it said was encroaching on its airspace.

– In early September, seven Iranian boats harassed a U.S. Navy ship in the Persian Gulf.

The U.S. military noted Iran harassed U.S. Navy warships through “unprofessional” interactions at least 35 times in 2016, a jump of more than 50 percent from the previous year, a U.S. official told Fox News.

In September, Present-elect Donald Trump said any Iranian vessels that harassed U.S. Navy warships would be “shot out of the water.”

Fox News recently flew out to the USS George H. W. Bush to see her final work ups in the Atlantic before deploying. The commanding officer of the ship said Iran’s behavior in the past year amounted to “school yard antics.”

There are currently no U.S. aircraft carriers deployed in the Middle East after the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower returned to Norfolk and the USS George H. W. Bush had its deployment delayed.

There is, however, a U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship with helicopters, jets and more than 1,000 marines in the region.

Fox News’ Lucas Tomlinson contributed to this report.
